" taking the body of Jesus,
Joseph wrapped it
and laid it in his new tomb..."
In keeping with the practice of burying the dead, the Catholic Church sets aside cemeteries as sacred ground - the resting place of the faithful departed.
Saint Joseph has a cemetery that has been in use since the late 1800's and is located next to the Historic Little Church in Plymouth. Since space for in ground burials is limited, a Columbarium was added in 2008 for the burial of cremains. The Columbarium holds 96 niches. Each niche is large enough for two urns.
