Volunteer Ministry Are you looking for a way to get involved at St Joe’s? Do you enjoy sharing your faith with others? Maybe you have a child in the program who you would like to journey with? If yes to any of these, we invite you to consider volunteering to be a Catechist or Catechist Aide for Faith Formation this year. It takes many volunteers in a variety of roles to make St. Joseph’s Faith Formation programs GREAT!
If you are interested in being a catechist or volunteer in any position, you must be VIRTUS certified as required by the Archdiocese. Virtus is an online training program teaching safety, and protecting and empowering God’s children (see Links section to re-certify or get started). To serve and offer your special teaching gifts, please complete the registration form in the Links section or contact the Director of Children and Adult Faith Formation.
Family Fellowship A fun summer program focused on bringing St. Joe's families with young children together to build connections, and provide an opportunity to connect with others in our faith community! Families are invited to attend one or more morning sessions for the part of the morning that works best for them. The offerings include Mass, activities and a snack.
St. Joseph's provides story theater, arts and crafts, yard games, outdoor activities, scavenger hunt, etc. and coffee for the adults.
Vacation Bible Camp (VBC) For one week typically each June, youth of all ages and adult leaders learn about God's love through games, song and activities. Preschool through grade 5 attend with middle and high school youth serving as leaders. Themes vary from year-to-year. We also have a social outreach project during the week and a closing celebration Mass at the Parish Center on Friday that all are welcome to attend. Many adult and teen leaders are needed (VIRTUS training is required).
