Every summer middle and high school youth go on week long trips that inspire and excite the Holy Spirit in all of us. Our yearly middle and high school mission trips bring youth to areas of the country where people are in need of home repairs, painting and other services. Youth are given opportunities for prayer, reflection, and community building along with the service to help them know the fullness of Catholic life. This opportunity for youth to get away from the busyness of their everyday lives allows them to focus on their faith. There is both a middle school and a high school mission trip. These trips are definitely the highlight of our year, igniting new friendships and a renewed faith. Registration fills quickly, so ensure to register right away!
Are you ready to be the hands and feet of Christ?
Youth Works We are blessed to work with YouthWorks, a non-profit corporation, that was created in 1994 by a youth minister in Minneapolis, MN. With a Christ centered board, guiding a skilled group of youth workers as staff, it has seen incredible growth. The mission trips emphasize relational ministry. Building relationships, trust, and friendship with others are as important as the physical labor we provide. The YouthWorks site teams provide evening programs and activities to further the faith of the missionaries which are followed by time for each church group to gather in an effort to process that day and to motivate the kids for the next day.
Damascus offers dynamic activities and opportunities to grow as leaders and disciples through group activities supported by trained ministry leads.
Raising Stock in SJCC Youth 2023!
This summer, our middle and high school youth have been invited to attend summer faith building programs. To make this possible, our goal is to raise $5,000 and we need your help.
$450 per student. July 2-7, our high school students will embark on a Leech Lake, MN mission trip and be introduced to the Ojibwe culture through an intentional immersive service experience. In addition to serving in the Leech Lake Community, our youth will meet several community friends with unique backgrounds and stories about the Leech Lake Reservation and Ojibwe Culture. Each day is a constant awareness of Christ all around us, with evening Scripture based programs and our own church group time.
$520 per student. July 9-14, our middle school students will travel to Trego, Wisconsin and experience the Damascus Catholic Youth Summer Camp, a one-week Immersive experience. This camp is where high adventure activities lead to high adventure faith. The campers participate in classic camp activities, such as archery tag, canoeing, fishing, paint ball, rock wall and water activities while also discovering the depth and beauty of the Catholic faith through experiencing the Sacrament, prayer, small groups and Adoration.
Ways to Financially Support Us
