Welcome to the Parish Family of St. Joseph! When I arrived at Saint Joseph parish in 2006, I was happy to see that a beautiful new sanctuary recently had been completed. Even more so, I was happy to find a welcoming and active community. I am grateful now that the same spirit I found then still fills this part of the Archdiocese.
I have come to know the dedication and talents of so many families who witness to our Catholic faith with such generosity. Our love for God is lived out in the many ministries and activities this parish offers, as well as the ways individuals actively care for their neighbors in need.
The theme of the Archdiocesan Synod is “You will be my witnesses.” With fewer Christians joining parishes we need to strengthen our resolve to bear witness to the presence of Christ in the world.
In the Gospel of Matthew we hear Jesus say “the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few.” Even as Jesus revealed the abundant harvest prepared by his Father, he was aware of the shortage of workers in the vineyard.
As we contemplate the abundant harvest before us, knowing our own limitations, we can offer who we are and what we have in the service of the Gospel. Thank you for making Saint Joseph Parish your faith home.
