Understanding Dementia:
Homebound Eucharistic Ministers
A caring group of people who provide hospitality (conversation, rosary, etc.) and serve the Eucharist at funerals and/or to those who are homebound, in Nursing Homes and/or hospitals. They offer the Eucharist to parishioners and those of the Catholic faith who deeply appreciate communion and connections to their Saint Joseph community. All ministers are trained. We encourage those homebound after an operation or diagnosis or their families to let us know so we can bring communion and include them in community prayer.
Prayer and Communion Services Outreach
St. Joseph Catholic Community Pastoral Staff provides caring support for people in local care centers with monthly visits, prayer and communion services. We visit care facilities such as the Heathers Manor in Crystal, Good Samaritan/Ambassador in New Hope and The Waters in Plymouth.
