Dear Parishioners,
Some of you may have read in the Catholic Spirit or heard from others that I am retiring this summer. Archbishop Hebda has accepted my request for retirement, and I will be doing so as of July 1, 2023. I am in good health, and I intend to continue helping out in parishes when the need arises.
Serving you as your pastor over the past 16 years has been a blessing for me. We have together journeyed through times of joy and laughter, and times of struggle and pain.
The pandemic has certainly impacted all our lives, but we have come through it with determination to keep St. Joseph Catholic Community strong in its mission.
Members of our staff and leadership teams have participated in conversations with those who will recommend a new pastor for St. Joseph Catholic Community. I am confident Archbishop Hebda will send our parish a pastor who will honor the spirit of this parish and will lead it into a bright future.
I am grateful we have these coming months to look ahead together. There will be a celebration at the end of June when we can gather and share the blessings of our faith journey. Please remember me in your prayer as I will remember you in my prayers.
May God bless your families.
Grateful,
Fr. Terry Rassmussen
