Protecting God's Children
The Archdiocese requires all adult volunteers who work with children and all employees to be VIRTUS trained, attending a 3 hour live training session called Protecting God’s Children that combats sexual abuse of children in the Church. In addition each volunteer is required to complete Virtus Safety Training including a background check, the Code of Conduct Training, Reporting Suspected Child Abuse Training, and sign a Code of Conduct. The trainings and background check are to be completed before a volunteer or employee is allowed to begin their ministerial duties.
