ASK US ABOUT WHAT WE LEARNED
FAITH AND RACIAL JUSTICE
After our book study on racism and Christianity, the young adult group decided to continue our learning about racism through the Just Faith–Faith and Racial Justice program. We explored systemic racism in America as we learned about mass incarceration, redlining, and other systems of oppression. We also learned about the history of racism in the Twin Cities through the documentary Jim Crow of the North. An important part of the Just Faith program is a commitment to ongoing work in the parish and the community. We have many ideas of how this work might continue, but one is an ongoing book study about racism and the Catholic Church. We plan to begin this monthly group in the Easter season by reading part of Racial Justice and the Catholic Church by Fr. Brian Massingale, SJ.
We would love to have you join us!
